Why We Exist
Our Mission
Countryside Baptist Church exists to glorify God by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, making disciples, and building up the body of Christ through expository preaching, biblical fellowship, and compassionate outreach.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the final authority for all matters of faith and practice. Every sermon, every service, and every ministry flows from that conviction.

What We Believe
The Bible
We believe the King James Bible is the inspired, preserved Word of God and our sole authority for faith and practice.
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in essence, power, and glory.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He came into the world to save sinners, died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.
Salvation
We believe salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ—not earned by our works.
The Church
We are an independent, local New Testament Baptist church. We believe the local church is accountable to Jesus Christ and governed according to His Word.
Baptism
We believe baptism is for those who have trusted Jesus Christ as Savior and is administered by immersion as a public testimony of faith in Him.
Prayer
We believe prayer is an essential part of the Christian life. Through Christ, believers may come boldly before God in prayer, thanksgiving, and dependence upon Him.
Evangelism
We believe Jesus Christ commanded His followers to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples, beginning where God has placed us and reaching outward to others.
Christ's Return
We believe Jesus Christ will come again, just as He promised. His return is the blessed hope of believers and calls us to watch and be ready.
Our Shepherd
Pastor John Stricklen
Pastor John Stricklen has faithfully served Countryside Baptist Church for many years, bringing expository, Christ-centered preaching to the congregation each week.
Alongside his wife Judy, Pastor Stricklen shepherds the flock with a heart for the Word of God and a genuine love for every person who walks through our doors.
His ministry is marked by faithfulness to Scripture, warmth toward visitors, and a deep commitment to the spiritual growth of every member.
